Artist Names After Bad Translation: Pt 1

The most awaited series has finally been released. Guess all that “planning” (which is a nice way of saying “slacking off”) did pay off in the end πŸ˜….

For those of you who are new to my blog and haven’t caught up with what exactly happened, I’ll give you a very brief run through of how this series was born. On 21st September, 2020; I published a post called “Song Lyrics After Bad Translation: Pt 1” which was a hilarious rendition of certain popular song snippets after being run through Google Translate. After the success of this series, I posted a survey post in January asking whether I should release a “Misheard Lyrics” series or a follow up series called “Artist Names After Bad Translation”; where most of you rooted for the former. After months and months of “promising” and reminders by my non blogger friends to release the latter post, this post finally came into existence.

Like its popular prequel, this post follows the same procedure: the only difference being the artist names. In this part, we shall solely focus on pop artist names, and lemme tell you something: this post was much more challenging to write than the song lyrics snippets. Why, you ask? Well, certain artist’s names didn’t exactly produce hilarious results or produced no results at all (*cough* JB *cough*); but somehow I managed to get some interesting results for other artists. So, without further ado: let’s just look at the list.

The Artists Chosen Here:

  1. One Direction – Directions to The Front
  2. Beyonce – Bioniki
  3. Taylor Swift – Telephone Filter
  4. Why Don’t We – Would you like to use Bismol?
  5. Ariana Grande – Replace Aryan
  6. Rihanna – Weather in Lianatte
  7. Ed Sheeran – Ed Hernab
  8. Billie Eilish – Uber Billy Ellie
  9. Shawn Mendes – Cool Teak
  10. The Beatles – It’s A Cockroach
  11. Elvis Presley – Elfie Prince
  12. Eminem (Slim Shady) – Narrow Shade
  13. Lady Gaga – Marvo Gatorade
  14. Jonas Brothers – Bira Jononas
  15. Blackpink – Problem with black powder

So that’s a wrap for today, and I hope you enjoyed this list of names that I put. Don’t forget to comment below on your favourite number, and I shall see you next Monday.

Until then, fellow readers! SS is out.
