Catching Up On Awards #1

Well, I’m back at it again with the awards. After going award free for 2 months, I’ve decided to revive this category of my blog…..’cause why not? So…….a HUGE thanks to all my lovely blogger friends who nominated me for several awards! It really means a lot, guys 😊.

Instead of making another compilation series like I did 5 months ago, I’ve decided to group particular awards into one post, and release them at certain instances. I mean, it’s better than making another long award post, right? Ok, now that I’ve said what I had to say, let’s get into the post. Enjoy!

1. Sunshine Blogger Award #3 & #4

Thank you Introverted Thoughts & ChocoLiv for nominating me for this award! They’re quite the amazing bloggers, if you ask me. Head on over to their blogs to check out some amazing content which can range from lifestyle posts to book/movie reviews. Let’s get it on with the questions:

The Questions:

#1. What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your life so far?
Ans. You don’t have to always people please everyone, ’cause it’s not worth it. Also, you have to be brave enough to voice your own opinions and concerns; no matter what others think.

#2. What’s the one thing you hate the most in this world?
Ans. Animal cruelty. The poor things have no voice of their own, so why must we behave like ruthless beasts towards them?!

#3.What is your favourite genre in books and movies? Mention reasons, if any.
Ans. Fantasy, adventure, suspense and thriller. The first 2 lets me immerse my imagination in the mesmerizing fictional world, while the other 2 have ways to rouse my curiosity and keep me on board with the plot-line.

#4.When have you been the most embarrassed in your life?
Ans. Would you consider my 6th and 9th grade self as candidates? (I did some pretty cringey stuff in those years, which I’d rather not mention……)

#5. What is the last movie that you saw?
Ans. Ludo, The Circle.

#6. What is your typical coffee shop order?
Ans. Mostly a cappucino/iced coffee with some red velvet cupcakes/donuts.

#7. What music are you listening to right now?
Ans. Punk rock bands like Misfits, Dead Kennedys, The Clash, etc. Throw in a little bit of Motorhead, Tool, Gojira and some Daft Punk.

#8. Which country is one the top of your bucketlist?
Ans. South Africa, Amsterdam, Spain, Japan, Australia, Egypt….just to name a few.

#2. The Black Cat Blue Sea Award

A huge thanks to Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for nominating me for this new and cool award! Do stop by her little blogging corner for some awesome posts on book reviews, the “Some Bibliophilic Things” series, and stuff galore!

[P.S: To answer your question; you can call me SS if you’d like]

Ok, so from what I read: The Black Cat Blue Sea award is one given to bloggers who strive to write content for all (which would also make an impact on readers), irrespective of their follower count/likes/views. I don’t know who the creator of this award is, but I’d like to think that it’s a nice way of giving several bloggers a chance to showcase their talents. I’m sure there are several shining stars out there who’s works can be showcased and recognized!

The Questions:

#1. What is the one (or more) thing you want to do before you die?
Ans. Probably go dirt biking/quad biking by myself. I just enjoy doing those activities so much.

#2. Are you an extrovert or an introvert? What is your favourite thing about being an extrovert or an introvert (whichever you are)
Ans. Here’s how it is for me: 80% of the time I’m an introvert, and the other 20% of the time I’m an ambivert. Sometimes it’s good to get the best of both worlds, right?

#3. If you could trade lives with a fictional character, would you do it? And if you had to, whom would you choose?
Ans. Assassination Classroom fandom/ MHA fandom (My Hero Academia). Oh, and of course: the HP fandom, Percy Jackson and Lotr fandom.

#3. Mystery Blogger Award #2

Aanya, thanks a ton for nominating me for this award! She’s the brain behind the stellar blog “Soaring Firebolt”, which is the best place for Potterheads to chill and interact with each other. Do give it a visit, and don’t forget: “Mischief managed!”

[Award Creator- Okoto Enigma. Best post- argh, so many choices! Ok,ok I’ll leave a link: My gift poem to my baby sister ]

#1. Name your favorite chocolate?
Ans. Godiva pearls, Hersheys, Dairy Milk, Snickers, Mars, Reese’s PB cups, Aero, the list goes on and on……πŸ˜‹πŸ€€

#2. Your favorite festival?
Ans. Halloween, Diwali, La Tomatina festival, Krishna Janmashtami (cause of the food XD ), etc.

#3. Name a place that you want to revisit?
Ans. Jordan, Cambodia, Hong Kong (for Disneyland of course)

#4. If you could make one thing illegal, what would it be?
Ans. Putting ads in every single video/site. It’s just freaking annoying! πŸ™„

And as for nominations: anyone’s welcome to carry on these awards. Yes, that’s right. Y’all are nominated for these awards!

And………….that’s a wrap on the 1st set of awards! Stay tuned for the other parts, and here’s to the final month of 2020. Hope the next year goes smoothly, and see ya next Monday. Until then, fellow readers!

  1. See how popular & how loved you are on WP?! That’s awesome – hugs congrats on the various nominations!

I remember doing this ages ago with grouping awards into one post. I also skipped a lot of the rules, oops! I love your first answer about not having to please everyone and to be brave in making your voice heard. Two hugely important life lessons that I personally wish I learned earlier in my life. I still find both of them difficult at times, far too often really.

I hadn’t come across that Black Cat Blue Sea Award before, that’s pretty funky.

I don’t think I’ve come across Godiva pearls before either. I’ve just Googled them. Now I desperately want chocolate, STAT! Have you tried Lindt Lindor? Absolutely love that stuff. Yum.

    Have a great week ahead!
    Caz xx

  2. Congratulationsssss! I enjoyed reading your answers. I couldn’t help but smile when I read you’d want to be Percy Jackson. I believe it takes a lot to go through all that he did and of course, he’s awesome and has a fantastic sense of humor and a lifetime supply of sass. You’re good at making people laugh. Bravo, SS. Great job on answering these questions and congrats once again! πŸ‘πŸŽ‰ πŸ‘

  3. My 8th year was THE most embarrassing year for meπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    And ooo I love thrillers!!🌟

Congratulations on all these! And I agree about going award free. It’s better to announce yourself as “award free” instead of promising to do and entirely forgetting OOPS (like me)πŸ‘…πŸ™„πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  4. Yes to not pleasing everyone. Especially when it involves writing. It’s a hard reality to swallow, that there WILL be people who hate your work, but it comes with the territory. Thanks for sharing!
