Results of the Q&A!

Last week, I had hosted a Q&A session in order to celebrate a particular milestone. Now, today’s the day I’ll be answering all your questions. Thank you for participating in this, and it was really fun reading your questions.

Grab some snacks, cause it’s time to read all the facts about me: Silver Stone.

Lucy’s questions:

Ans: Biochemistry, genetic engineering, and pharmaceutical biotechnology. These are some of the fields I’m so mesmerized with.

#2. Do you like cats?

Ans: I don’t mind cats. I’m both a cat and dog person.

#3. What is your favorite literary work from a past or modern writer?

Ans: “Moby Dick” by Herman Melville, and “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea” by Jules Verne. I read these when I was a kid, because I was super obsessed with marine life. Even to this day, I think they were some of the best books I’ve read so far.

#4. What is your favorite chocolate bar? (anything that’s not Reese’s is wrong, by the way).

Ans: A Hershey’s bar (of any flavor), and any Dairy Milk chocolate bar (except for the caramel one; that’s straight out weird 😐 ).

#5. Novels or short stories? Which do you prefer to read or even write?

Ans: I like to read both, but when it comes to writing; I prefer short stories to novels.

#6. How did you come up with your blog name, β€œThe Bored Side Of The Phone.”?

Ans: This is a really good question! Thanks for dropping this one in the comments!

Well, I was just using a title generator to see what weird/funny titles you could use for anything; and I happened to see a title that was simply wacky and cool. Using that title as my inspiration, I took the words “bored” and “phone” ; and after 20 minutes of wordplay, I got “The Bored Side Of The Phone”.

Pooja G’s questions:

#1. What is your favorite thing about blogging?

Ans. Reading other blogger’s posts; and socializing with fellow bloggers. I like the WP Community, because everyone’s so genuine, and friendly with each other (unlike some social media platforms……). I’m pretty sure a majority of us bloggers are comfortable here in WordPress because of these reasons.

#2. What’s your favourite song/songs and why?

Ans: “Tomorrow Comes Today” by Gorillaz, because I love how it’s so calm and melodic, and it gives out old school Gorillaz vibes.

I also like “Primal Scream” by Motley Crue, because I dig Mick Mars’ guitar playing in this song, especially the solo. That’s so badass! 🀘🏼🀘🏼

Phoenix’s questions:

#1. What’s your favourite book?

Ans. When I was in eighth grade; I had 2 favourite Hardy Boys books. They were: “A Con Artist In Paris” and “X-plosion”. (P.S: It took me 20 minutes just to scout for these titles; because I had long forgotten them πŸ˜…)

#2. Favourite TV shows?

Ans. The Middle, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Stranger Things, South Park, Rick and Morty, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Death Note, Aggretsuko, etc.

#3. What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever done?

Ans. Anything that’s related to my 6th grade self is super weird, and cringey as hell. πŸ™„

#4. What are three things your friends would describe you as?

(Edit) Ans. “The Quiet One”, huge animal lover, the supplier of yummy food (because they used to finish either 3/4th or my entire snacks and lunch πŸ˜‹)

#5. Would you like to travel to the future or past?

Ans. The future! I’d like to see all the crazy gadgets and other mysterious things that await us.

#6. Favourite cuisine?

Ans. Thai, Italian, and Middle Eastern cuisines. They’re to die for, because they’re so good!!! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Aadit Shah’s questions:

#1. Favourite physics topic?

Ans. Radioactivity, calorimetry, light, and electricity. The concepts in the said topics are so interesting to read.

#2. Best movie?

Ans. Parasite. The ending is a huge and unexpected plot twist!

#3. Most followed sport and team?

Ans. Badminton and table tennis. As of now, I don’t know what my favourite sports team is…..

Era’s question:

Just one day, if you get a chance to meet your younger self, what that conservation will be like? 🀭

Ans. This is an epic question! Thanks for asking me this one, Era!

Okay, so the order would be like this then. Get ready to see how I’ve changed through time, and what I would tell my past selves:

  • Kindergarten & Primary School: Stay happy always, and PLEASE SLEEP!!! (because I was super hyperactive as a kid)
  • Middle School: I’m glad you’ve stood up for yourself, but please get rid of your cringey attitude. I’m also happy you’ve managed to make more friends, and have aced your academics.
  • High School: Woohoo, I’m so happy you made it out in one piece! I’m also glad you didn’t fret over exams, and the results! Also, try to be more calm and collected instead of a raging supernova.

Joy’s question:

If you could have any super power, which one would you choose?

Ans:  Telekinesis; because I’m super lazy, and I’d like to play some sort of pranks on people 😜 . I’d also like the ability to talk to animals; because I’m a huge animal lover.

Subbahshini Meenakshi Sunderam’s question:

What is success to you or what you say as a successful life?

Ans:  It’s about being happy, chasing your dreams with passion and hard-work, and being independent.  Don’t forget about utilizing your time well, because you’ll never regain any time lost/wasted.

Light Of Life’s question:

Tell about your first book. Which one was that?

Ans: As a kid, I think it must’ve been “The Wizard Of Oz”. It’s an all time classic, which I’m pretty sure we’ve all read and loved. Although I was scared of Oz’s giant floating head back then, and it gave me nightmares (to the point where I skipped that chapter, out of fear πŸ˜…).

Hope you enjoyed this post, and stay tuned for more stuff. Until then, fellow readers!
